Raxio Data Centre to showcase at Capacity Africa 2019 Conference
As infrastructure continues to develop across the continent, the African telecoms sector has never been more exciting to explore. Capacity Africa, the only telecoms meeting with a focus on infrastructure developments across Africa is holding its 14th edition in Kigali, Rwanda on the 11-12th September.
Capacity Africa connects international partners and investors with local operators, data centers, content providers, and cloud vendors that may be a challenge to contact in order to facilitate new business opportunities and establish new industry connections. The two-day conference agenda will deliver critical industry information on new infrastructure projects and how the demands of new technologies are shaping the industry.
Raxio Data Centre is a proud exhibitor at the Capacity Africa 2019 conference, showcasing the first-Tier III grade data centerpiece of infrastructure that is aimed at supporting the growth and digitalization of Uganda.
James Byaruhanga, the Raxio General Manager – who is also a key speaker at the event – expressed confident remarks over the role of infrastructure development on the future of Africa:
“We believe that digital transformation will play a big role in the future of African businesses and economies through the advancement of opportunities. In addition, there is a surge in data creation, data consumption, and data dissemination. This calls for all players – either as ICT solutions providers or consumers – to be up to date with the use of state-of-the-art facilities. This is part of what I shall be sharing at the Capacity Africa 2019 Conference as part of the Raxio Data Centre story” said Mr. Byaruhanga.
Raxio is building a first of its kind in Uganda – a carrier-neutral facility built to Uptime Institute’s Tier III standard with capacity to host up to 400 racks and delivery 1.5MW of IT power at the final phase. It is expected to open officially in January 2020.
